The Altstadt is one of the 49 boroughs of Dusseldorf, Germany. The Dusseldorfer Altstadt is better known as "the longest bar in the world", because it has more than 300 bars and discothéques. Main sights include Basilica St. Lambertus, Schlossturm - housing the shipping museum, The Old City Hall (Rathaus), Equestrian statue of Jan Wellem on the Market place, and St. Ursula-Gymnasium (an old Grammar School).

The Rhein starts as a stream at the Rheinwaldhorn Glacier, located in the Swiss Alps and empties out into the North Sea. The Rhein is called different names depending on the country it flows through. It is called Rhein in Germany; Rhine in France and Rijn in Netherlands.
