Southampton - Nest Seekers International, one of the
largest real estate firms in New York City, announced it has acquired
the Hamptons branch of global real estate firm Engel & Volkers with
offices at 20 Main Street in Southampton and 26 Montauk Highway in East
Hampton.
Approximately 20 agents from Engel & Volkers and a few other firms
have joined Nest Seekers International. Nest Seekers is also in the
process of hiring approximately 30 additional agents for the Southampton
and East Hampton offices, the company announced.
"The transaction was seamless and completed within a matter of days,
and the integration of our operations and staff has already begun,"
stated Ravi Gulivindala, Vice President, Managing Director at Nest Seekers International.
Amadeus Ehrhardt, manager of the former Engel &
Volkers Southampton office, has been named Managing Director of the new
Nest Seekers office in Southampton. Barbara Feldman, previously of Engel & Volkers, has been appointed Managing Director of the East Hampton office.
"We have been interested in expanding our Hamptons operations for
some time. With the improving conditions in the market, we saw this
acquisition as an ideal way to grow our business in the area,"
Gulivindala stated. "Nest Seekers is continuing to look at additional
opportunities in the Hamptons, as we believe circumstances are conducive
to further growth at this time."
The new Nest Seekers offices at 20 Main Street and 26 Montauk
Highway will focus primarily on sales and rentals in and around
Southampton and East Hampton. The existing Nest Seekers location at 2415
Montauk Highway will continue to cover Bridgehampton and the
surrounding areas. Nest Seekers also has offices in Manhattan on the
East side, Midtown and Downtown as well as Long Island City and Miami.
