In the USA real estate agents define mansions to be over 8,000 square feet, in Europe the definition for a Mansion is a dwelling with a ballroom and dozens of bedrooms. But there is no formal definition besides a considerably large house with many many rooms. Mansions that we built in the last century usually have specially designed rooms built to provide leisure activities and for specific uses.
