Originally built in the 16th century--though you'd absolutely never guess--this former abbey and its panoramic hilltop environment were purchased by the current owners in 1995, and the three buildings which make up this idyllic property have been lovingly (amazingly!) restored.

The 800m2 built area consists of Main House, Guest House and two more buildings, on a rolling 7000m2 of olive groves, sunflowers, a vineyard, and pine and fruit trees...Secluded and peaceful, yet strategically centered amongst the most important and well-known medieval towns and villages of Umbria: Perugia, Assisi, Gubio, Spoleto (home of the renowned international arts festival each summer), Spello, Orvieto and Todi are all in this magical hillside region, while Tuscany is just 20 minutes away by car.

The romantic and suggestive interiors of the main house reveal stone walls, original cotto or ancient marble flooring, ceilings of brick and wood, spectacular (original) wooden doors, a loggia for al fresco dining, and double-glass windows with wooden frames. Outside, through these windows (which become like living paintings) you see sloping fields, a sun-splashed promontory, swimming pool/terrace, and sexy villages dotting the landscape...
