This Superb Structure has history that takes us back over 150 years.Built in 1836 with New York's Great Fire of 1835 in Mind, architect Isaiah Rogers built this building with no use of wood or any flammable material. Only Stone. This building served as the first Merchants Exchange in New York. All business was conducted here rather than people running all over the city. It then became the main headquarters of The National City Bank ( today Citibank), until a new headquarters was found.
