This enigmatic three-floor stone and brick house, built in 1645, has been historically restored to accommodate a first floor art gallery, and second and third floor art studios. The house and its tranquil gardens played a leading role in the nourishment, and then 'expression', of the artistic genius of Egon Schiele, who lived and worked here in 1911. It was in this house, and on these grounds amongst the fruit trees, where Schiele created some of his most important drawings and paintings.

Now fully restored to its rightful place in art history, original details and inspiration remain, including a rounded ceiling on the first floor, and a roof of clay tiles. There are entrances from three separate garden terraces.
