Montauk is an Easthampton hamlet located on Long Island’s south shore that attracts visitors due to its rich history and numerous state parks. Named after the local Montaukett Native American tribe, Montauk is the home of New York State’s first lighthouse, Montauk Point Lighthouse, which remains the fourth oldest in the country that still operates. It is located right near land owned by Andy Warhol and is where The Rolling Stones stayed while touring in the mid-seventies. They even named a song after it.
