In April 2007, Mann Report Residential named him the “Prince Of Harlem Real Estate” and he was featured among seven top-performing Manhattan agents in a full-page article in the Mann Report “Broker's Issue.”
Regarded as a shrewd negotiator, Mr. Crafton prides himself as a deal maker. With an obsessive focus on hospitality and customer service, he often exceeds the expectations of clients. In 2006, as a new agent, Mr. Crafton originated over $3 million dollars in exclusive listings his first 90 days of being hired; he rented 90 apartments; and closed $5 million dollars in residential sales – All in his first year in the business.
Crafton’s drive and success are deeply rooted in his DNA. Prior to his role in real estate, Mr. Crafton was instrumental in the music business and has appeared on CNN to advise on entertainment. Smart and naturally ambitious, he produced music segments for Gucci fashion shows in Milan and also served as executive producer on television and radio advertising campaigns for L’Oreal, Mistic Drinks and AT&T. In 1999, Crafton co-founded MacGold Entertainment and raised $1 million in venture capital for a “first-of-its-kind” Internet music project that resulted in a Warner Brothers recording deal. As a former record producer at Bad Boy Entertainment, Mr. Crafton has production credits with artists such as the late Notorious B.I.G. and Babyface. It was in the competitive music industry where Crafton learned the art of the deal, negotiations and acquired business skills that would later assist him in his career in New York City real estate – the most competitive and demanding market in America.
In addition to his role in real estate, Mr. Crafton is a well-respected speaker. He remains active in his hometown community on Long Island and encourages students to pursue entrepreneurship and careers in business. He has addressed educational facilities such as Uniondale High School and IS 339 in the Bronx. Mr. Crafton's commitment to inspire entrepreneurship and leadership, especially to underprivileged youth is the key motivation for his involvement in community organizations and The Reginald F. Lewis Foundation.
