Melanie Metzler launched her real estate career at Nest Seekers International in 2008. Since then, she has achieved more experience, success and recognition than most agents with a similar number of years in the field.
With the trajectory of her career taking off so quickly, Melanie naturally became a sought-after agent in the industry. Within her first year, she was recruited onto a Prudential Douglas Elliman top producing team, the Barak/Blackburn Group, which ranked number one in transactions. From there she went on to work on several top teams and projects, each experience building and expanding on the knowledge she gained from the last.
Honing her business skills in the toughest real estate environment in recent history was a challenge Melanie rose to. In 2009 she specialized in first time buyers who were responsible for the majority of the years’ transactions, and in 2010 she shifted into the quickly rebounding luxury market as a member of the sales team at 100 Eleventh Avenue, the iconic downtown project by Pritzker Prize winning architect Jean Nouvel. The prices achieved there were some of downtown’s highest that year, and Melanie’s sales skills were instrumental in a number of the crucial early transactions. In 2011, Melanie garnered the highest pricing to date at the widely-acclaimed 36 Gramercy Park East, where she sold an apartment in need of a full gut renovation for a chart-topping $2,350 per square foot.
Known for her keen eye, Melanie has an innate talent for spotting and effectively seizing true opportunities, both for her clients and in her career. Recognizing the exceptional success and growth of Nest Seekers in recent years, and sharing in the firm’s forward-thinking vision, she has decided to return to her roots at Nest Seekers as Vice President and Managing Director.
