Set within The Seven, the most exclusive enclave in La Reserva, Sotogrande, NARA is conceived as a seamless dialogue between architecture and landscape. Here, nature is not a backdrop—it is a living presence, shaping a refined and deeply personal way of life.

NARA emerges as a singular residence, carefully embedded into its surroundings to offer a profound sense of calm, privacy, and understated security. It is a place where land and structure exist in quiet harmony.

Designed by ARK Architects, the project reflects a global vision in which nature, materials, sustainability, and creativity converge. With over 25 years of experience and more than 100 completed projects across destinations such as Marbella, Sotogrande, Madrid, Abu Dhabi, New York, and Milan, each work is crafted as an immersive architectural experience—meticulously guided from concept to completion.

The Principle of Longevity

A new paradigm in architecture.

Longevity shifts the focus from space to life itself. Architecture is no longer defined solely by form, but by its capacity to enhance, support, and sustain life over time. It is not an added feature, but a foundational philosophy.

Every element of NARA—design, materials, systems, and technologies—follows a precise logic aimed at balance and wellbeing. The home functions as a living system: spaces that encourage both movement and stillness, technologies that operate with quiet efficiency, and natural materials that promote health, stability, and permanence.

Design Philosophy

Rooted in Eastern philosophy, NARA draws from the idea of nature as a living organism, where stone represents permanence, balance, and continuity. In Zen tradition, rock carries memory and energy—bridging time, matter, and life.

Here, the natural rock is not removed, but embraced as the origin of the project. It shapes an architecture grounded in stillness and longevity.

Carved courtyards introduce natural light and regulate the internal environment, establishing a calm and continuous rhythm. The residence is not simply observed—it is experienced. It is architecture that supports life quietly, with intention and permanence.

NARA is guided by a simple principle: not to impose, but to understand. It does not sit on the land—it becomes part of it.

The Residence

Designed through the principles of bio-architecture, the home offers a private sanctuary for serenity and modern living.

Distributed across three levels with lift access, it includes:

• A private master level with lounge, office, dressing area, and suite
• Six additional bedroom suites, including guest and staff accommodation
• Expansive open-plan living and dining spaces
• Multiple home offices
• Fully equipped kitchen with pantry
• Cinema room, wine cellar, laundry, and extensive storage

Wellness and leisure are central to the experience:

• Indoor and outdoor infinity pools
• Fully equipped gym and spa
• Landscaped terraces and relaxation areas

The property also features generous outdoor parking, including a pergola garage.

The Terraces

Arranged across multiple levels, the terraces transform the landscape into a three-dimensional living experience. The architecture responds to the natural topography, allowing light, air, and vegetation to flow freely.

These “bioterraces,” guided by bio-architectural principles, create a direct and continuous relationship with the environment. They regulate the microclimate, filter light, and align with natural rhythms—making connection with nature not an aspiration, but a daily reality.
