The property backs up to the lovely Hammonasset River, which flows directly into the Long Island Sound farther to the south. This section of the river is known for excellent fishing and is annually stocked with rainbow, brown, and brook trout. The well-maintained grounds and campsites include a variety of settings; shady wooded areas, grassy meadows, and waterfront on the spring-fed pond. There are over 230 spacious campsites offering a variety of available RV hookup options; including water, 30 amp electric, 30/50 amp electric, gray water, and septic. Each site also has a picnic table and a fireplace. There are also two seasonal cabins on the property used as rental units, and a large outbuilding that is currently being used as an office, convenience store, and lounge area. The resort grounds include many recreational opportunities, including a new in-ground swimming pool, pickleball courts, basketball court, softball field, volleyball pit, shuffleboard courts, playgrounds, and a sheltered pavilion. Other guest amenities are a laundromat, four public restrooms, and a dumping station.
