A stones throw away from the iconic Washington Square Park, this remarkable residence occupies the top three floors of a 22-foot-wide Greek Revival mansion on a tree-lined Village block. Historic character, generous proportions, and thoughtful modern updates come together in a home made for both quiet days and memorable evenings. Encompassing approximately 3,500+/- square feet of interior space plus an additional 625+/- square feet of exterior space, the home combines historic character, generous proportions, and thoughtful modern updates; a setting made for both quiet days and memorable evenings. Southern light fills this five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath residence with enormous scale, from high ceilings and oversized windows, while original wood-burning fireplaces bring warmth to the living spaces. Four outdoor spaces offer room (present on every floor plus a private roof deck) to unwind and entertain, from the terrace adjoining the open-plan entertaining floor, to the expansive private roof deck, where the Empire State Building rises above the skyline. On picturesque Washington Place, the best of downtown Manhattan is close at hand: beloved restaurants, independent boutiques, and convenient subway connections. It is a rare opportunity to enjoy the beauty of a Village mansion with the ease of contemporary living.
