GRAMERCY—In ancient times men wore suits of armor and carried weapons to slay dragons. Now they wear flannels and carry heavy cameras to slay our attention spans. Looks like a certain reality show was filming at 36 Gramercy Park East today. We hear that building owner Maurice Mann himself was taking part in the filming with Nest Seekers broker Ryan Serhant. The cure for Apthorp stress? TV stardom, natch. [CurbedWire Inbox]

NYC—Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer is fired up about the city laying off 63 pest control workers, especially considering New York logged 21,800 pest control complaints last year. His rat rant is pretty awesome, especially when it gets into local rodent history: "Shortly after World War II the federal government opened an office to fight rodent infestation within the Centers for Disease Control, and by the 1970s experts considered New York's program a national model. The city’s rodent problems began increasing, however, as pest control programs suffered crippling budget cuts beginning in the 1980s." Stringer was joined by various council members today to protest the cuts. How about a response, L Train Rat? [CurbedWire Inbox]
