This is my second year in NYC and the second time I've needed to find an apartment. Last year was a terrible experience with the brokers I contacted - they always charged really high fees or seemed to somehow not really have your best interests at heart. After that, I had a very negative view on brokers.....but Ande changed all of that!!
Ande is an exceptional, hard-working, honest agent. She goes out of her way to find you listings that she'll know you'll like and is super organized with setting up appointments and such - none of the aimless walking around, wasting a whole day. My roommates and I worked with her and she found us a really great place, at a good price, and was very honest in fees (she found us a "no fee" place , even when other brokers were still trying to charge us a fee on the same location!). Furthermore, it only took one afternoon to find a unit we were really happy with.
Even when we thought we wouldn't get the apartment due to an administrative mixup, she personally went into the building's leasing office to negotiate. She is great at following up, making sure you feel like you're in the loop, and extremely efficient.
In an industry that isn't known for being very forthright, Ande definitely stands as an example of what a broker should be. I'm very glad that I contacted her and put my trust in her to find us this apartment!
Ande is an exceptional agent and was a pleasure to work with her. She assisted with the competitive NY market and is a strong negotiator. Since I was not from the area I appreciated her expertise and how dialed in she was to all the different neighborhoods. Ande is organized, efficient and diligent- I would highly recommended her.
Ande is a goddess. She the NYC real estate matchmaker! The first listing Ande sent me (after just a 30 minute phone conversation/discussion about who I am & what I'm looking for) could not have been a more perfect fit. She found me my dream apartment in a matter of minutes. Ande is a beautiful person inside and out; she's truly a joy to work with. She has a powerfully positive energy that is so clearly reflected in her professional undertakings. She made what is usually an awful, stressful search/move into an easy and exciting process.
