Mariah Carey's Bahamian Villa Awaits Sun-Loving Buyer

Another day, another Mariah Carey real estate story. Following yesterday's news that the pop star and husband Nick Cannon have been sunning themselves at a $275K-a-month rental in the Hamptons, today The Real Estalker brings word that Carey's villa on Windermere Island in the Bahamas is on the market for $5.5M.

Villa Sea Lily was first listed more than a year ago but has managed to fly under the radar, a true rarity in the world of splashy, much-publicized celebrity real estate transactions. Perhaps that's a metaphor for the low-key, relaxed, under-the-radar lifestyle the next buyer will enjoy as he/she lazes by the 40-foot-long pool, roams among the compound's four pavilions (centered around a courtyard), and chills out on the ramada overlooking the dunes. In total, the estate offers 4,000 square feet of interior space and 3,500 square feet of outdoor living and entertaining areas. One last detail about the land of the endless happy hour—and the brokerbabble seems particularly proud of this—each bedroom comes stocked with a wet bar.
