Near to the town of Carovigno, you will find this original trullo sleeps 4, two bedrooms, one bathroom. Outside there is a large pool, and area to sunbath. Great position, offering tranquility and peaceful surroundings. Trullo Pietra Antica is a wonderfully restored Trullo, with original stone features which have been cleverley designed so the external wall is part of a feature internally, whilst in the new part of the construction you will find the lounge and kitchen. As you enter the gates, you will see the quaint Trullo. The trullo is elevated, and overlooks the gardens and pool. The entrance opens up into the open plan lounge and kitchen area. The kitchen has white fitted units, stainless steel sink, Fridge Freezer. Gas hob, with oven, dishwasher and washing machine all neatly hidden away behind the well designed kitchen. As you go through to the bedrooms, you pass by the original wall of the trullo, which opens up into a large double bedroom, with a sleigh bed king sized, with scrolled feet and headboard. There is an alcove for hanging cloths and a large chest of drawers. This room is 500 years old. As you go along the corridor you will find the 2nd double bedroom with double bed, hanging space and drawers. The clever use of lighting under the alcove, gives this room a tranquil feeling. The bathroom is spacious and fully tiled, and has a modern feel, with sink, toilet and large shower, ideal for a small family or friends wishing to spend time together in a quiet part of Italy. There is a paddock, and the trullo is totally private. The pool is 12m x 6m 1.2m - 1.5m deep. There is an upper level for sunbathing, external shower. External outdoor furniture and BBQ make for great outdoor living. The boundary walls are made up of a mixture of Cyprus, Pine and Olive Trees. There is also an un restored trullo, which would have originally housed the animals, which is now used as a wood store. The trullo also has the advantage of underfloor heating which would be ideal for the winter months. There is also a wood burning stove, should the evenings start to draw in a little cold. The area has many interesting areas to visit. Including, Torre Guaceto Nature Reserve blissfully free from development, with its rugged shores is a protected area, and allows its visitors to enjoy and escape from the over developed beach resorts. There are plenty of opportunities to observe plant and animal species usually scarce in this part of the world. A mini shuttle service runs from the car parks, but to find your spot on the beach, there may be some walking involved. The sea is clear, clean and warm. There is a visitor centre 3km inland at Serranova which organises nature walks, cycle trekking. There are also guided snorkelling trips. Torre Guaceto is also one of Puglia's top locations for kite surfing. There are water parks, and a zoo in Fasano. Plenty to do if you have young children. Ostuni boasts many restaurants with traditional Pugliese cuisine, with roast and grilled meat and tasty tangy pasta dishes to suit every pallate. Ostuni has also one of the oldest Franciscan convents dating back to 1304. The Cathedral is located on the highest point of the city, which was built between 1435 and 1495, and has a beautiful Gothic facade. Far away you will see the white town perched on a hill, crowned by the cathedral with its colorful dome. The town of Ostuni is surrounded by a medieval fortress wall, and as you meander through the streets, you may stumble upon hidden cafe bars and restaraunts. Definitely worth visiting at night, as there is a buzz of excitement, and people sipping coffee and drinking Spritz - it definitely has a cosmopolitan feel. There is an A/C unit above the bathroom, which will cool the two bedrooms.
