The Main Building

The entrance to the main building is located on the north side of the house and, like the generally austere style of the exterior, provides no intimation of what lies within. For after ascending the flight of steps from the graveled forecourt, passing through the vestibule and into to the reception area, we enter another world and time.

The ground floor of the main building consists of six main rooms, including a small salon, living room, audiovisual room with concealed, state-of-the-art technology and a main reception room that looks out through a glass partition to the reception area. Beyond this is a Moroccan-style tea room, an exquisite hallway with an Islam- inspired mosaic fountain and a lavish dining room with seating for approximately 40 guests.

The entire facade from the dining room at the southernmost corner to the main reception room at the other end opens up onto a generously sized terrace with sweeping panoramic views of the grounds: the ideal venue, weather permitting, for al fresco receptions, cocktails and even dining.

If the main and secondary houses offer your guests private accommodation in keeping with your high standards of hospitality, the orangery is the ideal venue for all your social entertaining. Situated just a few meters from the two residential buildings, the orangery is an L-shaped structure that opens up into two wings from the main entrance.

The left wing comprises three large, fully furnished reception rooms, each complete in itself but entirely open to convey the sense of space. Appointed with marble floors, exquisite carpets, ornate ceiling frescoes and superb crystal chandeliers, they provide direct access to the manicured lawns and pool in the main outer area.

Branching off to the right as we enter are the bar and various relaxation areas together with the sauna, hammam, a room for fitness and luxuriously fitted shower and bathrooms. As in all the other buildings, there are plentiful wardrobe, cloakroom and toilet facilities.

An annexe to the orangery at the bottom end of the swimming pool, idea for a further bar or refreshment area to serve pool users, can still be equipped to the new owner‘s specifications.
