Glengariff is a late-1920s Hudson Valley estate set along the historic Doove Kill in Livingston, New York (Columbia County), surrounded by rolling pastoral fields and ancient maple trees. The four-bedroom, three-bath main house is currently available for seasonal rental, as well as at various other times of the year. The house exudes low-key luxury, with a spacious, semi-open floor plan centered on a massive gourmet eat-in kitchen. Sun-drenched rooms, generous ceiling heights, and a large screened porch add to its appeal. The setting is quiet and private, reached by a long, storybook drive. In summer, a large gunite pool and a pool house with a full bath are also available, at a variable rate. The location is convenient to the best of the Hudson Valley. Nearby are Clermont Estate, Tivoli, Bard College, Rhinebeck, and trendsetting Hudson. Amtrak trains run from both Hudson and Rhinecliff, and the area offers numerous farm-to-table restaurants, art galleries, and farmers markets. The perfect chance to experience and discover this region before making the commitment to buy.
