Michael grew up on an island in Rhode Island called Jamestown and moved to Manhattan in September 2007, which means he’s lived on an island his entire life. He graduated from Baruch College with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting and a minor in Economics.
Upon graduation, Michael co-founded a hedge fund, Throne Capital, with his brother and two other business associates. He was the Chief Financial Officer and responsible for composing financial statements for investors, facilitating in capital raising, deep financial analyses of companies to identify unique investment opportunities, and communicating with investors and their advisers regarding net asset values and market outlook. Additionally, Michael maintains his own portfolio where he implements his own strategies from crypto to options, short-selling, and the occasional short squeeze.
Michael went into real estate because he enjoys engaging with people and helping them out. If he can assist someone to have one less item on their plate to be worried about, he wants to do it. One of Michael’s favorite proverbs is “the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second-best time is now.” That is how Michael sees real estate, a career that takes time to grow and nurture.
When not working, Michael enjoys watching basketball, football, and fútbol (soccer). You can find him on weekends supporting his favorite team, Liverpool Football Club, at the 11th Street Bar – the official Liverpool supporters' club of New York City. He’s an avid music lover with his favorite bands including The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Incubus, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
