I happened upon the above photo (captioned "pond floor") during one of our pinning marathons. Finding it difficult to believe, investigations were made to prove the falsehood of said caption.
Fortunately, a bit of googling proved that it is, indeed, a pond floor, and it belongs to the grand estate called: Acqua Liana. The existence of this residential water-world is not news. Architect Frank McKinney erected this green creation on 1.6 acres quite a few years back; complete with a private waterfront, beach, dock, lagoons, reflecting ponds and waterfall walls (just to name a few)--perhaps contributing to why it resembles a cinematic and resort-like rendition of Lothlórien more so than the foundation of a truly habitable abode.
Built of reclaimed wood, the environmentally responsible home also features solar panels and a water system that collects run-off from its cedar roof, dispensing it in the sparkling water garden. It is said to gather enough water to fill an "average" swimming pool in little more than a fortnight, however, "average" is otherwise not an appropriate adjective to use here (seeing as it's the first luxury home with triple green certification--an "eco-mansion" of palatial proportion with an itty-bitty carbon footprint). It even has an automated "bio-feedback" system to notify its owner of precisely how energy efficient it's being in real time.
