Susan M. de França, 51, joined as president and chief executive of Douglas Elliman Developments, the real estate firm's developments division. She was formerly president of related sales.

Nat Sherman Inc.:
Michael Herklots, 31, joined the tobacconist as executive director, retail and brand development. He was previously general manager of Davidoff of Geneva's New York stores.

TAXI:
Dave Clemans, 47, joined the ad agency's New York office as executive creative director. He previously held the same post at CHI & Partners. He led the creation of the Truth teen anti-tobacco campaign.

Protiviti Inc.:
Dan Kerrigan, 45, joined as a managing director for the consulting and internal audit firm. He was previously a managing director at Bridge Associates.

Kevin White, 51, was named publisher of Health, a Time Inc. Lifestyle Group brand. He was previously publisher of Real Simple.

Rich Rennie, 39, was appointed national digital director of MyRecipes.com and Cooking Light, two Lifestyle Group brands. He was previously the Eastern advertising director for People.

Columbia University:
Melissa Smey, 39, was appointed executive director of Columbia's Arts Initiative. She continues as director of Columbia's Miller Theatre.

Labaton Sucharow:
Jordan A. Thomas, 41, joined the law firm as partner and chair of the whistleblower representation practice. He was previously an assistant director in the enforcement division at the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Citrin Cooperman:
William Brenner, 48, was promoted to partner at the accounting firm. He was formerly a director.

Mandeep Sihota, 36, was promoted to principal. She was previously a director.

Harmen Bakker, 32, was promoted to director. He was previously a manager.

GZA GeoEnvironmental Inc.:
Patrick Mahon, 36, was promoted to senior project manager at the environmental and geotechnical consulting firm. He was previously a project manager.

Opera Solutions:
Scott Weber, 42, joined as co-director of the Jersey City-based analytics firm's government solutions areas. He continues as a partner at Patton Boggs.

Digital Edge:
Dmitri Chizhevsky, 47, joined the data center services provider as vice president of information technology. He was previously a technical architect at Thomson Reuters.

Marcum:
Paul T. Sherman, 64, was promoted to partner-in-charge of the accounting firm's New York office. He was most recently partner-in-charge of human resources.

RBC Capital Markets:
John Perkins, 52, joined the corporate and investment banking arm of RBC as co-head of the U.S. real estate investment banking group. He most recently served as senior managing director and co-head of real estate investment banking in the Americas for CBRE Capital Advisors.

James Patrick Heidbreder, 39, joined as a managing director in the U.S. health care investment banking group. He was formerly managing director and head of health care services investment banking at FBR Capital Markets.

Eric Jacobs, 38, joined as a managing director in the U.S. mergers and acquisitions investment banking group. He was previously head of health care services mergers and acquisitions at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Edin Rudic, 36, was promoted to the newly created role of creative director at the space planning and interior design firm. He was previously senior designer.

T.J. Sullivan, 35, joined the video advertising technology firm as senior vice president of sales. He was most recently senior vice president of sales for Outrigger Media, which he co-founded.
