The amenity-filled architectural house is clad in porcelain tile, with backlit onyx and other sleek details
A porcelain-wrapped waterfront megamansion in Cancun, Mexico, has come to market asking $18.2 million.
Located in a gated community on La Isla, the massive 33,368-square-foot house has direct lakefront access on Nichupté Lagoon, which separates Cancun’s famous barrier island from the mainland.
The home was designed by architect Mario Bolivar of Bolivar Arquitectos and completed in 2023. Its geometric exterior is clad in sand-colored porcelain tile, with smooth windowless volumes in the front, balanced by generous floor-to-ceiling glass walls in the rear.
On the interior, the centerpiece is a three-story backlit onyx wall, gleaming with green and yellow Rorschach patterns exploding asymmetrically. Beside it is a multi-level spiral staircase, wrapped in a ribbon glass, according to the listing with Chris Gill, Martin Barroso and Andy Kim of Nest Seekers, which they posted earlier this month.
The remainder of the home is also decadently decorated and features a game room with a bowling alley, an 11-person theater, an underground six-car garage with an attached lounge, a two-bedroom staff apartment, an industrial kitchen for entertaining, and a skylit spa with a steam room, a hot tub and an indoor pool.

Outside, there is a rooftop infinity pool and a second pool in the main outdoor area that’s surrounded by a spacious deck, view-facing cabanas and a covered terrace. Additionally, a raised cutout in one wing of the house creates an outdoor area covered by the cantilevered level above it with more outdoor seating, dining and lounging space.
“The interiors are defined by luxury finishes and sophisticated custom detailing, the illuminated onyx feature wall standing out as a signature design element,” Gill said via email.
The home is within the Isla Dorada community and is being sold fully furnished. The seller is the developer, a Mexican construction company, according to Gill.
La Isla is a residential island close to many attractions, including La Isla Cancún Shopping Village, the Interactive Aquarium, Skywheel Cancun and Mayan ruins near the coastline.
