Diamond-Shaped London Apartment With Views of the River Thames Lists for £12 Million

A full-floor apartment in a newly completed tower along London’s River Thames is on the market for £12 million (US$15.87 million).

The nearly 4,400-square-foot sub-penthouse, which is being sold furnished, occupies the entire 21st floor of Tower East, making it the only single-level, full-floor unit in the building. There is a triplex above it with unfinished interiors.

Tower East is the newer of the two towers that make up the Chelsea Waterfront development, which also includes a historic power station conversion in addition to the high-rises. Tower East, as well as its taller sister building, Tower West, were designed by the late Terry Farrell, the architect behind London’s Charing Cross railway station and the SIS Building, perhaps better known as the MI6 headquarters.

The pointed ends accentuate the apartment’s striking views.

Nest Seekers

Tower East was completed at the end of last year, and residents are expected to move in at the beginning of 2027, according to Claudia Sylvester of Nest Seekers International, who began marketing the listing earlier this month.

The glass building’s striking modern design gives the five-bedroom apartment an unusual diamond-shaped layout, and with much of the walls made up of floor-to-ceiling windows, the pointed ends accentuate the home’s river and city views, which include Battersea Bridge, Albert Bridge and the London Eye.

“At the pinnacle, it’s pointing straight at the skyline,” Sylvester said. “We think this is a real trophy asset when it comes to somebody appreciating London, so if they really love London, they’re going to want to be able to see all of the icons of London. It’s a conversation piece.”

Because of this, Sylvester believes the apartment, and the tower as a whole, appeals to international buyers because “they want something different” when buying London real estate.

And this isn’t just a theory—in Tower West, a similarly shaped full-floor apartment on the building’s 34th floor that was also recently asking £12 million found a buyer, who is not from the U.K., within a week.

“People are looking at long-hold assets…and these sort of views are never going to change, and that makes a difference,” Sylvester said. “They don’t necessarily want to buy the properties that are down on the ground and the same as everywhere else.”

The building’s amenities are a part of the appeal too, she added. They include a 24-hour concierge, a residents’ lounge, a gym, an indoor swimming pool, a hot tub, a sauna and a steam room.
